Oil Change/Fluids/Filters

If your machine is leaking oil, or if it's just time for your scheduled oil change, you can get the Kawasaki Teryx fluids, filters, and oil change kits you need at Everything Kawasaki Offroad. Factory fluids and filters for the Kawasaki Teryx are fine, but they aren't the only game in town. With regards to filters, there are many factors that will determine the effectiveness of an oil or air filter for the Kawasaki Teryx. The type of bypass valved used, the type of media used (i.e. cellulose or synthetic), and the amount of media used will all play a role in the performance of a filter. And although you can't judge a filter by the brand or price, most off-the-shelf filters will work well and protect your rig just fine under normal driving conditions with regular oil change intervals. When you ride your side-by-side for extended periods of time or operate where there can be excessive dirt ingression, then a premium oil filter for the Kawasaki Teryx might be required to protect your machine. Kawasaki isn't an oil filter company, nor does it operate oil refineries. As far as engine oil goes for the Kawasaki Teryx, as long as you change the oil regularly and ensure that it meets or exceeds the manufacturers ratings, you'll be fine with any Amsoil or Rotella T4 15W-40 or synthetic T6 5W40. One of the best oils on the market for the Kawasaki Teryx is Red Line 10w40. It is an ester base oil which doesn't contain paraffin wax like Rotella or Mobil1. If you look at the technical analysis, you'll see that Rotella is made from group 2 and group 2+ base oils. It contains paraffin wax and is not as highly refined as other oils. Red Line, on the other hand, is made from group 5 base oils. Group 5 base oils are Ester based and have no wax in them. They also are more pure than all other base oils. But whatever you prefer to put in your machine, we've got the oil change kits, oils, and filters for any Kawasaki Teryx!

If you see your Kawasaki Teryx oil light flashing, you know it’s time for a Kawasaki Teryx oil change. But you should not rely on your machine to tell you when it’s time for a fluid change, as there are scheduled oil change intervals, fluid change intervals, and filter change intervals outlined in the owner’s manual. For new side-by-sides, there is a break in period that must be followed. And if you ride hard or in harsh conditions, you might want to change your Kawasaki Teryx oils, fluids, and filters sooner than what’s suggested in the manual. Whatever the case may be for you, Everything Kawasaki Offroad is here to help! In addition to run-of-the-mill Kawasaki Teryx oil change kits with the stock-style Kawasaki Teryx oil type, we also offer a wide variety of aftermarket Kawasaki Teryx fluids and filters, ranging from Kawasaki Teryx brake fluid, transmission fluid, and diff fluid to Kawasaki Teryx fuel filters, oil filters, and air filters. If you want your rig to treat you well, you’ve gotta first treat it well. And this means proper maintenance and upkeep with periodic oil changes, filter changes, and fluid changes. So check that dipstick, have a look at your air filter, and keep an eye on those fluid reservoirs. If they’re low, dirty, or in need of a replacement, your one-stop-shop for all kinds of Kawasaki Teryx fluids, oils, and filters is Everything Kawasaki Offroad!

Where Kawasaki Teryx engine oil is concerned, some riders use Pennzoil, while others prefer to use products like Maxima 10W-40, Mobil 1 V-Twin Full Synthetic, or Rotella T6 5W-40. For the break in period, it’s advised that you use mineral oil. But after 25-30 hours of use, you can pretty much use any oil that you want – provided that you change it often and it’s JASO MA / JASO MA2 rated. When researching oil for the Kawasaki Teryx, some riders look to the 4-ball wear test, but this protocol is used primarily for testing greases in the lubricants industry, and does not simulate the action that occurs in a Kawasaki Teryx engine. Kawasaki Teryx oils with proper HTHS ratings will minimize wear, but some manufacturers simply add massive amounts of zinc to their oils, which can harm the catalytic converter and emission control systems. Be it Castrol 10-40 4t oil for your Teryx 4 or SAE 10W-40 Motorcycle oil by Amsoil for your Kawasaki Teryx KRX, look after your rig with the oils, fluids, and lubricants from Everything Kawasaki Offroad!

In addition to engine oil, you’re also going to need gear oil when servicing your machine, and that includes Kawasaki Teryx transmission fluid and Kawasaki Teryx diff fluid. As far as the differentials go, the front has an electric diff lock, which requires 80W-90 hydraulic fluid, while the Kawasaki Teryx rear differential fluid must be of the wet brake variety. Maxima makes high-quality Kawasaki Teryx 4 transmission fluids that use friction-controlling additives and anti-wear agents to not only prevent wear, but also stop rust and corrosion in their tracks! For high-performance transmission and gear case oils designed for modern side-by-sides like the Kawasaki Teryx, look no further than the amazing offerings available at Everything Kawasaki Offroad!

Now that we’ve touched on Kawasaki Teryx oil changes, oil change intervals, and oil change kits, we can move onto products like Kawasaki Teryx filters. Kawasaki Teryx oil filters are a big one, but Kawasaki Teryx fuel filters and Kawasaki Teryx air filters are also important. Some riders swear by the factory Kawasaki Teryx oil filters, and refuse to run anything else. But if you ask us, we don’t see anything wrong with using a cheaper oil filter that meets the same standards and delivers everything except for that dang OEM markup. In fact, with Royal Purple and a K&N Kawasaki Teryx oil filter, many riders argue that your rig will run both cooler and quieter! Wix oil filters and Amsoil oil filters are also usable in Kawasaki Teryx side-by-sides, but make sure that they conform with the factory specs before installing them!

Finally, we have to mention the other oils, fluids, and lubricants that UTVs require like Kawasaki Teryx brake fluid, radiator fluid, and chain lube! We carry all of these and more at Everything Kawasaki Offroad, and can also help you out with related products such as Kawasaki Teryx oil pressure sensors, Kawasaki Teryx oil filter wrenches, and even complete Kawasaki Teryx service kits! So skip cross referencing / looking up part numbers and get all your Kawasaki Teryx oils, filters, and fluids with ease, speed, and simplicity by shopping at Everything Kawasaki Offroad!
